LiveLoveASAP is absolutely an essential weed smoker's listening experience. I can't believe it came out 4 years ago.
The production is lush, dreamy, and varied enough that you can just hit play and let the whole thing go on without losing interest. The vocals are chilled out, stoned, and often chopped & screwed for that hazy indica vibe. The lyrics are cocky and confident and will put a smile on even the most zoned out and couchlocked among you.
There are hundreds of other albums I would also recommend pairing with weed but this is way up there because I think anyone of any musical fandom will enjoy it.

Weed I prefer by myself. The effects feel almost intelligently designed with introverts in mind. I have fun smoking with friends occasionally but I like to smoke fairly often (nightly) and really, really enjoy the feeling of being mildly stoned while I'm by myself.
Psychedelics I enjoy in a small group of close friends in nature. I think that's the best way of taking them though I've had wonderful trips by myself as well. Just an experience worth sharing.

what's benzo dependence like? i have horrible anxiety to the point where i haven't left the house because i wanted to in many months and everything seems like a threat to me and the only thing my psychiatrist gives me is bullshit SSRIs after another. i've tried buspar and wellbutrin but they were both bad, especially wellbutrin. i've taken valium before in the past to see what it would do and i was surprised to see that all my anxiety was gone and i was actually able to leave the house and do things. it didn't give me this drunken feeling or anything, it just made me feel normal.

Benzo addiction is the worst kick there is, it can take months in extreme cases and kill you. It takes awhile to get bad, but if you start doing them and exceeding your dosage to keep getting on high it can really sneak up on you.
The county detox I used to go to for heroin would not detox benzo addicts - it was too much for them.

Vicodin as it's Hydrocodone which is an opiate. Opiates produce way more euphoria than any benzo, at least IME. Xanax or Alprazolam is a benzo but only lasts like 2-3 hours and while it's recreational, there is a reason why they aren't as popular and expensive as opiates. I wouldn't get into either to be honest, Benzo and Opiate addiction are terrible, and open a door in your brain that can't be shut. You will always want to feel that way if you fall in love with it.

My folks are still together and I was raised in a stereotypical middle class suburban environment, no trauma at all in my childhood.
I just always rebelled, started smoking weed in 4th grade, drinking in 8th, etc, etc until I started heroin in my early 20s. Thing is, I don't have an addictive personality, nor are any family memebers addicts, but heroin got me. Mainly because I could be more functional on it then any other drug I'd done.
I was injecting it from the very start, when I started doing it it was the early 90s in Seattle and it was everywhere and pretty trendy. And after years of reading Burroughs, listening to VU, etc lots of people I admired were known for their use so there really wasn't a stigma attached. Even though by the time I had done it first I had seen lots of people get fucked over by it, I also saw people that were able to 'chip' for a good while and thought I could manage it.
No regrets, but my life would be VERY different right now had I never used it
