brfdore trhat motherfucker comes out qquuiiickkk
It may not be strictly house, but I think it's really innovative if you consider all these fads that lurk in electronic music these days. These guys look at things from a different perspective when it comes to "future" music. Sometimes it feels like they tried too hard to push the "toy-like innocent" sound, but it's a good listen nonetheless.
If you like Justice check out the first couple albums from Boys Noize. It's not as funky or intricate as Cross but it's distorted, aggressive, fun and leans more towards techno and acid house.
Cross only has one good song, rest only sound good with a different remix. It feels Justice has gone downhill right after they got hyped. Not alot of love goes into their music.
Check out Shinichi Osawa - The One. Easy one of my 10/10s.
Total by SebastiAn is a really great album if you like Justice
Just listen to everything in the Ed Banger label

point point is pretty neato too, i like all this new future french house coming out like Alesia, Nomak and Araatan.
Basement Jaxx - Remedy (90's American-influenced British house, covers a range of styles, they have a lot of good albums)
Black Box - Dreamland (Classic 90's Italo House, lots of piano)
Cooler Kids - Punk Debutante (Overlooked House-pop, a sugar overdose)
CJ Bolland - The 4th Sign (Hard House, verging on Hardcore Techno, lots of good chunky dancey music)
DJ Hell - Munich Machine (Industrial House is as close to a description as I can give it, very mechanical and abrasive)
Ian Pooley - Since Then (Smooth summer vibes, I play this one without fail whenever it gets warm out)
Leon Vynehall - Music for the Uninvited (A smooth and relaxing Deep House record)
Lone - Emerald Fantasy Tracks (Another relaxing house album, very synthy, similar to what Boards of Canada would sound like if they did house music)
Octo Octa - Between Two Selves (Smooth Deep House)
The Juan MacLean - In a Dream (A record with a lot of styles of house music, varied and catchy)
Honorable Mentions
Madison Avenue - The Polyester Embassy (House-pop, vapid and shallow but a really fun listen)
Mylo - Destroy Rock and Roll (Not quite house but a great dance album that has a lot of character)
Vitalic - Flashmob (Not every song is a winner but the ones that do hit are fantastic, disco informed hard French house music)
Para One - Passion (A nice, varied record with lots of catchy tunes)
Private - My Secret Lover (Disco and Prince influenced dance music, very catchy)
I actually really like Deadmau5 his Random Album title. Really nice and melodic album. Everything flows really nice into eachother.

Nomak from Point Point and alesia is actually a mutant
he shows up in soundcloud threads
my go to house album
I've come across 2 different versions of Justice - Cross, and the one i have now is subjectively inferior to the other. it has an extended intro and some other differences, particularly in "the party." was this an official thing? what are the different versions called, etc. thanks
>>60674348
Excellent album
8.5/10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3biIto4VsQw
I like this mix
House music that gets released in an album format is unusual in a way. Usually those artists are well established. Most house is released as singles or EPs
>>60674562
if you liked that check out his "warehouse" mix on soundcloud, been given that a dozen listens or so
If you like mashing joyfull dance tunes, with often sad and darker themes you should find something in their music. Very emotional and underrated stuff, i love it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuvjKTLGXxo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2wUbgAAydY
i dont think gesaffelstein is house but this song is kind of abrassive imo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRSijEW_cDM
Justice is electro house, it's good but only representative of one subgenre of house. Deep house for instance is very different (and not abrasive at all). Progressive house is yet another thing entirely.
>>60671632
>>60671661
Good recommendations.
Also get Vocalcity by Luomo and one of the Sasha/John Digweed mixes, that would be a good start. Be sure to give Frankie Knuckles/Jamie Principle, Mr Fingers, Moodymann a listen too.
>>60668617
Thanks for describing everything, great post.
>>60674713
True. It's cool to start with the well-established ones but you'll be missing some great stuff.
>>60668059
Yeah, but this post is the worst thing in it.
>>60675532
his new album wasn't house but he's made a fair share of house and techno tracks.
Check out his EP "VARIATIONS"
>>60664445

>tfw americans will never understand house music like the euros
I know it's been said already but it's worth repeating
>house
>albums
>>60676434
americans literally invented house music you yuropoor thief
technically underground black music communities, but still.
>>60664542
they're pretty essential, idk why anyone would hate them. sure, their newest wasn't all too exciting but they're still great.
>>60668100
this and Parallel Dimensions as well as Moodymann's Silentintroduction and Black Mahogoni
>>60676499
Yes but the house scene in america totally blows.
All the main clubs that play house play fucking bro-house fistpump bullshit.
Hell even the fucking gay bar here plays fucking Kesha remix bullshit.
>>60676541
the stuff you listed is precisely why moodyman hates white people with a passion
but anyway europe doesn't understand house music either. instead of attempting to understand it's gay black spirit europe has turned house music into a stadium rock knock-off or minimal lo-fi wankery. like there's a few that understand actual house music in europe
>>60676609
*like there's only a few

Thank god I'm not the only who hates Justice. So many Justice shills christ you guys have been nonstop for 7 years straight.
The way I feel about them is that they were cool back in 2007 after that, their 15 mins of fame gone.

I agree with this. Europeans make it less about the music and more about going to clubs. That's part of house music but not where the heart is.
