any other yo la tengo album post 1991
Ok why not ok

This pretty much. Summer Sun especially does a good job capturing a single emotion and creating an entire album out of it, just like And Then Nothing.

Posse - Soft Opening
please.
IDK I have a different favorite album every week but just right now. Any recs besides Smile and Ys'd be very appreciated

Pure X - Pleasure
It doesn't have as many memorable melodies or endearing lyrics, but it excels at the nostalgic suburban feel

I assume you've heard Bark Psychosis - Hex

Love me Van Dyke
Probably my favorite neo-psych album next to Animal Collectives Spirit They're Gone Spirit They've Vanished and I wouldn't even call it neo-psych, more prog inspired folk I guess
And don't say ️OK Computer because I love it already

Already checked Tweez out. Fucking sucks. The songs on there are badly executed, Steve Albini once again proves that he is an incompetent producer, and the compositions are just half done.

One of my favorite albums of all time. It's just a perfect mix of early morning, just getting a break from procrastinated chaos, a call/text of a date, a cigarette, and some pot lingering in your day planner for later in the day. Also helps it's an amazing album
>>60656506
Of course, and it's a great album, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
>>60656644
Not the Slint guy, but Tweez is at least 3/5 stars. Also discrediting a producers technique by an album they made at the beginning of their production career and thus disregarding their whole body of work is kind of ignorant. The songs aren't great admittedly, but at least Spiderland is fantastic

Don't get me wrong, I fucking love Steve Albini's music like Big Black (both of their albums are 10/10s for me). But Tweez is really terrible. The production is so quiet and unbearably so. The random cuts in songs that transition from music to someone shitting is both annoying and disgusting. I like Albini, but his production work isn't really my kind of thing. At least not during that era.

Check out Sau Poler mate, you'll love him if you like this.
pleb taste incoming
I've been playing Fallout 4 and I love the music on this radio station: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8bDQ4VKkaY
How do I find more? I'm not sure what to look for

If you just want the old pop songs listen to the Ink Spots
If you want some real patrician shit listen to Ellington at Newport for swing
>>60656814
Did you go to the link? It's not the pop stuff
>>60656730
I agree on the fact that his produciton around this time was really tinny (it also didn't help that around this time in the 80's for underground bands cheap production and tin was common due to budgets and gear limitations.) His production got better thank god, but I agree, excluding groups like the pixies his production didn't get great until the 90's
