Why did they do this?
Why do they do anything and why do people listen to this middle of the road shit band?
>>60655113
>"muh 'experimental' cred"
hes washign the disdhes BUT he is wavesy and sh i t
>>60655180
don't take everything so seriously, life will be a lot easier that way
>>60655180
their first 2 albums were pretty good
EPOTY
I really loved this what's wrong with it
>>60655205
>projecting
>>60655230
not enough words
>>60655180
how could anyone not like this?
did people finally realize the pavement ripoff sounds bad
>>60655230
I've only listened to it once so far, but it was really meh for me, definitely going to listen again though
Should I go see them in February when they are in town?
>>60655287
>did people finally realize the pavement ripoff sounds bad
Which Pavement ripoff band is better?
This was post-rock to me. Not great, not terrible.
The reason they did it is obvious. They have been deconstructing indie rock since they started and this was the ultimate statement of the pieces of indie rock defying the idea of it put together.
It wasn't super listenable but it served a purpose, kind of like a palate cleanser. I guarantee their next album will be god-tier.

>>60655829
>pavement ripoff
Pavement and BtS inspired an entire generation of music, the fact of their influence does not mean ripoff.
>>60655829
kinda got over them pretty quickly but I liked the promise in this one. agree that the next release will be something special
>>60655113
does anyone know who the artist who made this cover is?
>>60655829
>I guarantee their next album will be god-tier.
I didn't really enjoy Monastic Living at all, but it did not at all diminish my expectations for their next album
>>60655287
Did you actually listen to this?
is their first EP worth downloading?
>>60655998
The first four songs will probably be to your liking if you liked >>60655285 but "He's Seeing Paths" sounds a lot like Odelay Beck. Make of that what you will.
>>60655113
WHYDEYPUTDADICKINDAPUSSY?
>>60656113
I've heard "You Got Me Wonderin' Now" on the radio a few times and I think its one of their best, but I have never found an easy download of it
>>60656178
I'd upload my copy for the archive, but I'm on mobile rn. Here's NewAlbumRelease's if you feel like waiting for a bit, but you could also try file-sharing and Google

>>60656295
thanks man
>you could also try file-sharing and Google
i have a handful of times with no luck. Its one of a very small handful of things I have been interested in and been unsuccessful finding
>>60656113
you're literally only saying that because of the album cover. Besides the obvious country influences, this record does not even remotely resemble Odelay.
>>60655910
bump for this
>>60656378
I'm saying the last song sounds like Odelay.
>>60656447
wouldn't be surprised if they did it themselves
>>60656470
*the last song on "Tally All the Things That You Broke"
Fucking phone.
>>60655859
>BtS
Bangtang Boys?
>>60656595
yep
What are the best current bands similar to these guys
>>60655285
It's bretty good, listening to it now.
>>60656646
the back end of the album drags a little bit, but the first 2/3 is amazing
>>60656295
DL complete, thanks dude
