it's underrated but not truly great. more like a promise of better things to come... in the future, people may look at dead petz as being like her "bandcamp album" if that makes sense.

>her vocals are good, i'm not sure where the "vocals are bad" meme comes from. maybe because i'm so used to how wayne coyne sounds. her lyrics are serviceable considering she was 22 while writing it, there's a charm to their naivete

it was cool to hear them make pop songs again. i liked how they built the album around samples from the terror, 7 skies h3 and heady fwends, it was an interesting way to comment on how nihilistic pop music has become.

Miley's lyrics are fine for now, she has clearly improved over her previous work which bodes well for her future. Besides, most of her contemporaries will never even attempt to make something as ambitious or revealing as Dead Petz, and Miley's only just getting started.
