Pretty close to what I've heard from the album. It sounds like it has the harmonies and melody of MPP but with the weird electronics and crazyness of CHz.

The burgulars is very good. I like the coharmonies alot, the instrumentation is too hard to hear to tell but It kinda sounds more ChZ-esque which I am a bit wary of but overall I like that song alot from what I hear. Verticals is kinda shit though and extremely boring :/

Yeah, they do. It's just disappointing to me as Avey has one of my favorite natural voices yet this weird synthesized thing he's been doing heavily since CHz is really off-putting. I think the live album showed just how much more powerful his voice is when left a bit more untreated.

That's what they said tho, there's a difference in effects. The issue is that the flanger effect really does not work well on the vox (imo of course) and in addiction to that, he fuckin overdoes it, while there was at least a modicum of restraint on the earlier works (when they play live he doesn't use nearly as much and I think it sounds nice, so I think it's mostly the amount). Plus it doesn't help that it's pretty much every song on CHz and ETSH - there's no break from it.
That being said, one of my biggest issues with Feels was the amount of reverb and other effects they used.

Golden Gal is already pretty much confirmed to be a Panda track. The guy who went the airport said that the album had MPP style vocal melodies (and I don't doubt that from hearing The Burglars)

I just hope we get good synergy with panda/ avey
MPP, and sung tongs did this the best where it felt like they had an equal presence throughout the album.
CHz felt like mostly avey with only a couple songs by panda, one of them even being an outtake from tomboy. Seems like he cares more about his solo stuff now.
I still like avey a lot and I know anco is mostly "his" band in a way, but I'd like to hear them be featured on more tracks together this time.

I have a feeling that they won't stray from electronic instrumentation anytime soon, especially since Panda is so into dance, but I don't see why they can't have the atmosphere/energy of their older albums but updated with the new gear. Not sure why they're stuck so hard on the super busy and slick pop sound.
