well i don't usually listen to hiphop/rap so i'm not used to music that makes up 80% of its musical content from sampling. i honestly only checked it out because i kept seeing those memes and then i checked out the video and found the song pleasant, i figured it was all done by drake and his producers (as in someone actually played the keys, bass, programmed drum machine, etc.), like for example this song that is very similar in production and feel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQS4oa-dgLY all done by joseph mount of metronomy, and they tend to get shit on despite it being a pleasant song as well.
I unironically like the new Selena Gomez album to be honest. I think it's something to do with the lisp.
