there's an immediacy to her Arular/Piracy Funds Terrorism writing that I like, especially with songs like 10 Dollar and M.I.A. She became a better artist with Kala in all respects, but it had a loss of the debut's 'innocence', it was more world weary and less energetic. Arular makes you dance.
