what kind of headphones do you have /mu/? do you like them?
beats
>kek
yeah I guess they're okay
Some $6 buds. Berry easy to eq.
HD800s for when I'm at my desk
Sr80is for when I'm not at my desk
DT770 Pros for work and public
sony mdr v6's, very nice
Adventure Time Finn on ear headphones. Great sound quality, great build quality, looks great, can't be beat for the price.
Senn 598s
I mostly listen to art music so lack of bass doesn't really bother me except on some jazz.
>>60616728
I would have to physically restrain myself from laughing if I saw someone in these.
i have the audio technica m50s and i hate them
i cannot hear anything going on with the lower bass. the soundstaging is extremely tight, crammed feeling
i use them when i am writing big long complex midi chords and shit but they fucking suck for actually creating sounds
>>60616745
>Senn 598s
I have 558's and I wouldn't say it's 'lack of bass.'
That only makes sense to people who are used to the common & overrated multitudes of bassy headphones.
558's and 598's are just neutral, crisp, with an open soundstage. In other words, those qualities are only considerable as 'lack of bass', in comparison with the spectrum of EQ that all headphones go under, for better or worse.

DT770 Pro for music production
Been using them for a couple years and I still love them.
Pioneer HDJ2000 for DJing
The sound and noise cancelling is decent, but broke after 3rd use. Thinking of getting a pair of Aiaiais for replacement.
>>60616802
I've listened to plenty of neutral headphones. 598s are just especially nuanced to the point where it just sounds awkward.
>>60616978
>Aiaiais
Those look overpriced justified by trivial customizability
>>60616996
I had to get used to them having previously used closed back Senns and Sony's and various brands of earbuds, but they sound perfectly natural and clear now
sure se315
they are great
mdr-7506
it's good
Do good in ear headphones exist? I've been using Klipsch R6 and the sound quality is great, but either they're not made to be on full volume 24/7 or they suffer general wear and tear and need to be returned 4-5 times a year.

AKG Q701
Audeze LCD-2
V-Moda M100
>>60616409
love 'em
I like em
Senn HD201s, they're alright
>tfw poorfag
>>60619498
What amp do you use, f a m ?
>>60619498
now those are some nice looking headphones m8
>>60618930
I was wondering the same.
For someone who has to ride the bus regulary,in-ears are way more convenient, but there durability is often shitty
Just Apple's standard earphones. They do the job, and the bass is pretty okay. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone that works with audio though; it does the job but we're talking bare minimum.
>>60620953
maybe santa will bring you something alot better lets hope
>>60616409
These. Incredible sound quality, but I'm kind of disappointed because after about an hour my ears start hurting like crazy. They only just fit around them.
Sennheiser Momentum btw.
>>60616765
Yeah, the audio technicha m50x's are way better soundwise.
>>60620953
For around $30-50 you could have 5x the sound quality. Why not upgrade? I'm sure you could save on other things you spend money on and buy a pair of cheap headphones or earphones. Honestly, stock phone headphones are awful, and they're generally worse for your hearing.
yeah I like em'
but now after 3 years the cables that are plugged into the earpieces are glitching or w/e it's called in english so I have to order a new cable.
it's nice that you can repair them though, and that it's so easy.

>>60621074
do you have larger than average ears?
i can't stand headphones, i like the privacy of them but prefer the freedom of not having something on my head
i will admit some songs are like a different experience wearing them though
>>60621216
That's not very nice, f a m
They sound great but only if you use an amp, you need a amp to get the full potential of the k240s
>>60621300
not same guy but
>using an amp with headphones
so this means they're so cheap they're not good enough on their own, right?
>Get a good job and buy these
>Wish I had waited a little while longer and gotten Hifiman 1000's or whatever ones are meant to be the best headphones that aren't insanely expensive
I have the cat ear headphones where the cat ears are speakers and they light up. I like them.
>>60621409
those do look incredibly comfy though
>>60621437
They are.
They are also good but I've always felt I should've gone the one step further and brought a $1k price range par.
>>60616409
monoprice 8323
audiotechnica ATH-200
phony beats from china
sony mdr-v6
i use the sonys for mixing, the monoprices a friend is borrowing, and i use the audiotechnicas when someone is recording and needs to hear themselves
the hinges on the beats broke like a year ago so i don't use those at all
they pretty much all sound the same, i don't see why people spend $400+ on a pair of headphones. only really noticable difference is how kicks sound, im sure you can find other stuff if you listen hard enough but it doesn't "improve the listening experience" imo
>>60621354
You don't have a very extended knowledge of headphones do you?
Integrated sound card amps and cellphone amps don't have enough power to drive high impedance headphones. So you need an amp for them. And not, impedance is not a direct sign of the sound quality.
But this is the board who loves vinyls and use 20 dollars headphones.
>/mu/
>sound quality
I guess that's why most of the userbase in this board loves noise, lo-fi and depresive gay rock
ATH m40x master race here
coincidentally have the same that anthony fagtano uses
>>60621458
so you're telling me you plug an amp into your phone to play music? what kind of douche are you?
>>60621497
Only if your phone have a direct sound output otherwise you would just double amp the signal and that may be bad.
Or just use a low impedance high quality headphone for your phone
>what kind of douche are you?
A big one... for you
>>60621480
you know goddamn well that it's not a coincidence and you bought them because of him
Yeah these are all good. Had to do a small mod on them but it wasn't time consuming and gave great results.
>>60616409
apple earbuds to be honest family
