Let's forget about GY!BE, Swans, Grimes, Radiohead, etc. for a while and tell me /mu/ what do you think about pic related, personally is my favorite band of all time.

OP here, forgot to say that Disintegration is my favorite album with the title track being my favorite song from them.
What you need is a cure for your shit taste HAHA
I love The Head On The Door, great pop album
and Disintegration ofc
>>60614341
My favorite is also Disintegration. I also really enjoy Wish, Pornography and Faith. Havent listen anything else except the cure for some months now
>>60614389
The Head On The Door is so much fun holy shit
>>60614389

Close to me and a night like this are great tracks,
Faith and Bloodflowers are their best desu, and Three Imaginary Boys is criminally underrated
>>60615225
you could develop a whole album from every single song. Few albums are like this, Sgt. Pepper maybe.
>>60615982
>Three Imaginary Boys is criminally underrated
Holy shit, i agree with you.
>>60614341
Pornography, Seventeen Seconds, Disintegration and their Peel Session recordings are fucking great. Debut's good too. Need to hear more of their music, but yeah, I like it.
They really lost it after Lol got kicked out. Liz Taylor's always been an essential member, but when he's been in full control of the albums it's always been bad, mediocre at best.
friday i'm in love rules
OH GOD ITS MECHA-STREISAND
I always find myself wishing that they were a little bit darker, sadder, or upbeat depending on the song, I usually switch over to The Chameleons if I'm in a goth mood.
I still like them and am planning on catching a show when they come here on their tour, are they still good live? I know that Robert looks like a melted wax figure now.

Making out and getting handsy with highschool girlfriend in the back seat of my car on some random backroad blasting "The Kiss". Fond memory
Then, discovering Disintegration as my first breakup album afterwards. Also fond memory, incredible album.
>>60616953
It's true he does, the Lollapalooza set I watched online a couple years back was ace though.
>>60614355

I like Seventeen Seconds, can't get into any others though
>>60616956
Being 17 and breaking up with my gf because moving cities, listening to A Forest staring at the roof in bed
Man I was edgy back then
First concert I ever went to. The Rapture opened for them along with some other bands and that all totally started me down the. . .I guess path that I'm on now with music
I love them with all my heart.
>>60615982
Three Imaginary Boys is so fucking good. I got to see them a couple years ago when they were doing their first three albums front to back, and it was killer. They even did a bunch of b sides and outtakes like 'I'm Cold' and 'Jumping Someone Else's Train' in one of the many encores and it fucking ruled
>>60616953
They regularly play three and a half hours and are fucking phenomenal live, still.
bump
Anyone seeing them live on their upcoming tour? I'm pissed cuz their show where I live sold out instantly before I could buy tix.
>>60614341
haven't listened to Disintegration since 1995. I'm afraid to listen again for fear it'll destroy my illusions.
what should i do /mu/?
>>60620533
It's literally a perfect album.
is the greatest hits a good album to start with?
>>60620615
no. it's packed with things like Friday I'm In Love and Just Like Heaven. waste of time.
>>60620571

>>60620745
i feel bad for you that you can't enjoy great pop songs
>>60614355

>>60622215

>>60620615

Favourite band of all time. Im really emotionally attached to them and hope I can introduce my kids to them one day. Seeing them live for the 3rd time next year!

The Top is my favourite album and era of The Cure.
Maybe cause I listen to a lot of Etnica too....
>>60622711
A close second for me.
I know I might be alone in this, but this song came to my life during a very hard time (after a divorce), and kinda resonated with me. It's my favorite Cure song forever and ever.

>>60620615
listen to head on the door, disintergration, and kiss me kiss me kiss me, then go to seventeen seconds and the albums after that
Lovecats was my first bassline.
>>60616104
>Liz Taylor
I kek'd
I remember back in the 80's, Cure was annoying af. They were literally everywhere and their fanbase... oh god, the fanbase... the worst ever, kinda like the emos today.
My wife, who was part of this fanbase, made me love Cure when on a long road trip she put The Snakepit. Since then, I love all their albums, except the ones from the annoying area even if there are some good songs here and there.
I want so desperately for them to get back on track and put out some more great albums, but I don't think they care enough. They've made their millions and are too happy and comfortable.
>>60622898
i called them goth too when my friend first played me their songs, just based on first impression. i know now that theyre no goth band but that kinda gloomy post punk new wave whatever is often goth.
