I liked it. i think it's the best thing Trent has done since Ghosts, excluding his OSTs with Atticus Ross. I like the fact that it's almost completely electonic, except for that horrible pop punk song. Eliminating the guitar sound gave more space to experimentation.

I really loved HM too, again the production is phenomenal, the lyrics are terrible, but it perfectly captures that PHM level of flaunting vocal delivery over substance, I guess that's where his Prince influence comes in.

I know he didn't write a lot of his songs on his Downward Spiral album. At the time of making it he was in a serious relationship with Tori Amos and she co-wrote or gave him material for that album that she wasn't going to use for the own album she was creating at the time, Boys For Pele. She didn't want to be credited as she was seriously trying to help Trent make a decent record but he's never been good with lyrics like she is.
I know this for a fact because 2 of the songs she performed live months before the release of the NIN Downward Spiral album. At the time her & trent also did a duet "Past The Mission".
Tori Amos definitely co-wrote or wrote on her own the songs...
