Everyone here hates Queen mostly because Reddit/9gag loves them, well actually loves their hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, I want to break free, Killer Queen, etc.
They're not the 'Best band ever, today's music sucks, fuck Nicki Minaj xD', but I they're pretty great if you ask me. Not to forget that music is relative.
Their music would also rely alot on the show they would give. Which makes alot of people say that they were more entertainment than a band.
Jazz is still one of my favorite albums.
Queen are not overrated critically, they've always been recognized as a joke in that regard, and there's no such thing as being overrated by gen pop because the entire point of their existence is having shit taste in music.

Because it is. I've never been very impressed by Zeppelin's electric stuff. Yes, it's good, but it's fairly typical blues-based hard rock, and nothing really sets it apart from the tons of other bands doing the same thing at the same time. Their acoustic material is fucking amazing, though. It's a shame their biggest fanbase is rockers who don't give a shit.
