saw them a few weeks ago, I think they're doing pretty much the same setlist, what a great show. Saw them in San Antonio, Dianne Coffee opened and they were great too. (better than studio)

It came out the same month as to meme a butterfly, what do you expect
of Montreal used to be my favorite band but their last two albums have been painfully pretty mediocre and basically only made as a motivation to tour, which would normally be fine but they've been playing the same exact set list and curating the same exact antics for two and a half years. of Montreal is now a machine used to massage Kevin Barnes' ego every time he puts on a concert and exclusively that; it was probably that exact thing for a long time before but at least the music was good.
I simply don't enjoy Skeletal Lamping very much but I wish I did. Is there something I'm missing?

Idk I personally think Skeletal Lamping and False Priest of two of the most fun albums in their discog, even bordering on comedy sometimes. I would say listen again and don't take it too seriously. I also personally appreciate the variety of personalities and music styles Kevin cycles through. Its really creative.
