>this album won album of the year, song of the year, best record, and Christopher cross won best new artist, it also beat the legendary pink Floyd the wall (only 2 artist had won 4 of the biggest awards in one Grammy, Christopher cross/adele)
>yet nobody even remember this albums, every thrift shop i go too (yes i go to thrift shops) have at least 2-5 copies of this album
think about that.
Who are you quoting?

nobody. just personal faggotry

Oh I see. Cool.
But seriously OP, you're literately proving nothing.

That album came out right before MTV took over the music industry. Christopher Cross was fat and ugly and not photogenic at all. MTV killed the careers of a lot of 70s musicians who didn't fit the new visual medium.

Things that win Grammys usually aren't good.
>>60571934
All I know is that it's on the soft/yacht-rock chart

Milli Vanilli won a couple grammys.
even the wiki is vague a hell

but milli vanilli are the greatest
>>60572513
yeah they are

The only two good albums to win Grammies were Paul Simon's Graceland and Taylor Swift's Fearless
>>60572570
>>60572570
I'll give you Paul Simon, but Taylor Swift is music for tween girls and faggots.
Giving a damn about a grammy.

While I agree grammy's are pretty insignifcant, this album is actually good. Is it the art rock masterpiece that the wall is? of course not, but it's not trying to be. It's a very good pop record with solid songwriting. It won the grammy probably because of it's mass commercial appeal. This guy liked it.

i remember reading up on this on its wiki, after seeing it getting lots of awards and shit, hell, it even mentions it beat pink Floyd, i was extremely curious, so after checking out a few thrift shops, i found the record, courious, i bough the record, got home, and listen to it, it was not bad, but i just can't rap my head around the fact such a simple soft rock album (which is not like rumors level of soft rock) could beat such a giant and amazing album as the wall, kind of like the ok computer bob Dylan thing at the grammys.

I'd always heard this album as a yacht rock punchline.
This weekend, my carefully-cultivated yacht rock/late 70's easy listening pandora station spat out most of the singles from that album.
It was surprisingly pretty awesome, thqh senpai
Just a reminder that Radiohead loss three times for album of the year by old musicians.

I honestly fucking love this album OP, every song is great and it's a helluva throwback. Another Page is pretty good too, just not as solid. Kek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmIXoTaJ_fY
