Trying to start making my own music (chill wave).
Any recommendations for music making software? Not to DJ with, but to actually use plugins to distort sound and change the music speed.

I use ableton live 9, it's pretty versatile once you get the hang of it. It's not very beginner friendly though. But there's plenty of tutorials im sure. It's also pretty pricey, but it's not like anyone pays for their DAWs anymore anyways. As for plug-ins I use massive, fm-8, serum, and the "Magical 8-bit" plug-in. I also have auto tune but i dont really know jack shit about it. Anyways my recommendation is ableton. cool cool, i think the trial only lets you have a max of 8 midi and or audio tracks, so if you do enjoy it, i'd suggest torrenting the full thing.
