Ok so I'm never cared really much for Rock or guitar music in general (I've always been a huge IDM guy desu). Came across St. Vincent latest album and really digged the guitar. The fact that it wasn't really technically complex, but it had some real cool sounds and effects. So, can you recc me some other albums or artists with this cool sound experimentation or sonoric research? Thanks

Idm fag here. have you listened to Sonic Youth? they are one of the few guitar bands I give a shit about and they use guitars more as textures and noise

There isnt anythhing really close to st vincent ncent, her sound is very distinctive. Maybe you should try listening some of her influences like David Bowie - Heroes, Talking Heads - Remain in Light, The Pop Group - Y, glenn branca which has already been said...
From what you said i think you would reallly like art rock or a rockier new wave

Thanks. In fact, Heroes is my favourite from him. Gonna check the other stuff you said and yes - from the little I know about Rock and Pop, I love art pop and art rock. For example, I really dig Pom pom's sound from Ariel pink.
