Ys is better because theres only one reason I dont ever want to listen to it again (the silly voice she puts on), whereas Daydream Nation has no redeeming features whatsoever.

Daydream Nation.
I can see the similarity between them, the sprawling compositions have parallels. It comes down to the fact noise-rock is one of my favourite genres. I also have a nice history with DN, so I get nostalgia

They basically took the aesthetic of Dinosaur Jr and infused it with SY's trademark experimentation and complex songwriting. It's a really diverse album despite the limited range of instrumentation.
