Patton's a great vocalist
>>60532137
meme
>>60532207
No, he is not. He is a mediocre at best singer who tries to disguise his pathetic attempts at being innovative as avant-garde music. A true disgrace to the genre.
>>60532024
Your ratings have less impact the less of a curve they have. He's doing absolutely nothing with that system.
>>60532137
This is the most artificial curve I've ever seen.
>>60532279
That's not how the algorithm works.
>>60532322
>artificial curve
It's not actually, mine just happened to be a thing after a while. I've been pretty lucky in that aspect. It has always been there at least somewhat.
Though I will say, the fact that I have stuff covering my whole scale is because my scale is always evolving (it's just represented by the best I've heard and the worst, not that it is a perfect album). Though I have high doubts stuff will beat what's currently in there.
In short, I don't care enough about my curve to rig my ratings.
>>60532330
I don't know how it works exactly, but I read the site's description and they specifically say the more you take advantage of all your ratings, the more active you are and some stuff I forgot it will have more impact.
>>60532279
No one cares about the impact of their ratings. RYM is just used to show people what music you like
>>60532392
can I have a link to your account so I can see some of your ratings?
>>60532393
Don't you do that by playing it in their company?
>>60532393
That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying the fact that it's genius because "he's fixing the ratings" isn't a smart plan because it'll have very little impact with his current system. He could probably accomplish this better taking advantage of more of his scale.
I personally don't give a shit about that as my ratings are meant for me to have my own catalog and also can be useful to show people my taste in music.
