Not being familiar with some of the genres it can be hard for me to understand what "matters" about them. The few metal albums I've heard since starting have been boring as hell. Same with some of the "pitchfork-core." Really don't see the appeal of Jeff Buckley or Blur (I'm a huge Gorillaz fan too so I was looking forward to that). As a huge Pavement fan I'm a bit confused over why people picked Wowee Zowee over Crooked Rain, although I guess I'm glad that album is getting some recognition.
I've mostly been enjoying the new Electronic stuff I've heard like Oval, and Air, but I have no idea what the appeal of RJD2 is. Corny ass raps over decent beats.
