As a huge fan of Dylan, this is one of the very very few covers of his work I think may be better than the original, they also had some other great songs too like Fox on the Run and their cover of Dylan's Just Like a Woman is pretty good too
Amerifat here.
Fela Kuti is GOD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20UbO62UJUg

but their cover of Springsteen's is not as good as the original and how it got to be more well known than the original is a travesty

African and Asian music I tend to be attracted to albums over songs since they are often lengthy tracks that blend together

I was confused what you were talking about since that band didn't exist when anyone had heard of Springsteen but I looked it up...to be honest, I'm not sure I've ever heard that version of Blinded By the Light but maybe it's one of those songs I've heard a million times on the radio and never knew the name of it
US
>The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band - Suppose They Give a War and No One Comes
Too bad modern Americocks can't make music like this

it was a #1 hit for Manfred Mann and their big break in the US and pretty well known and most people didn't know it was a Springsteen song since his first album wasn't well known
I guess these days people are likely to know the original better because who the hell listens to Manfred Mann in this century
Ata kak - Obaa Sima (africa)

These days nobody even realizes things can be covers and think whichever version they hear first is the original, it's embarrassing really
Does no one look at songwriting credits for albums they hear for the first time or familiarize themselves with the classics so they recognize them when they hear them?
