These guys actually started as a folk act in my hometown Columbus, OH. So it's cool to see other people enjoy their best album (tbqh).

Their first album is very listenable, with a simpler folk sound, and many great hooks. They had another male singer who sounds more normal and performs some understated quality songs. I've hardly listened to their new album because it sounds too electronic for what I'm used to in the band. I think in terms of songwriting, coheisive band sound, and album flow, Dark Arc takes the cake.
Fun fact, that Newsom-esque singer has been the leading creative force and only consistent band member since their beginning.
