How much does your music taste affect your personal image of yourself? Be honest.

How do you mean OP?
>start listening to dub techno
>3 months later im mostly dressing in black
>thinking of going full techno interest me

OP go first
im a fish now, out of water
i don't even leave the house
when I got more into Hip Hop I started wearing baggy jeans that cut off at the bottom legs
But thats also more of a comfort thing as I used to get a sore testicle in tight jeans
Mychanging taste in music hasnt really affected my change in dress much really
It doesn't affect mine in the slightest because I purposely try not to talk about music unless it's with people who I know like some similar stuff. It's too difficult otherwise.

>start listening to punk
>don't change my long hair or blank clothes
>turn from optimistic humanitarian into apathetic pessimist
>start listening to jazz
>still don't change my image
>turn from outspoken pretentious kid to silent ego-hating manchild
It's what's on the inside that counts OP.

I think this is me right now, but with acid & RCs instead of jazz.
I think since getting into Pop (mostly 80's stuff like Paul Simon, Talk Talk, an whatnot. Maybe some T-swizzle, too) I've been a bit happier and upbeat. My clothing is a bit more colourful, like blue and pink. I used to dress very monochrome-ly (when I was listening to edgy shit, like Death Grips). I dunno if that's what you mean OP.

RCs?

Research chemicals.
Music makes me happy, which makes me more sociable, gentle... (I'm into Soul, Jazz, RnB, Rock, Funk, Folk, ... )
But I don't believe music changed my personnality, it's more of a ephemeral mood depending on the music I listen to. Some rare songs do have a point about my lifestyle (when I was a teenager I'd help people just because of "Man in the mirror", yes you can kek about it)
It might be convincing but there aren't that many persuasive songs.
