There's not one thing that makes him so remarkable, but he can bare his soul over a sparse beat on Devil in a New Dress and then do a totally different kind of thing on Lost in the World that still works
Once you get "into" Kanye it's hard to get bored of him, because of how unpredictable his approach to hip hop is, his discography is the most varied in all of mainstream hip hop

i used to hate him but when i actually listened to the music it's really amazing
I just think his music is incredible. the music behind his rapping is what it's really about, it's just so fun to listen to and he is fairly experimental and not afraid to take risks.

he was praised for his production style
never considered that great a rapper but has been known to drop some clever lines in the past
His records are pretty solid and he has molded a respectable aesthetic about himself and surrounds himself with good musicians and producers
