I think The Rolling Stones are going to break up soon. Brian Jones died last summer, and then there was that fiasco last December at the free concert they gave out in California. I just don't see them continuing. How could they?
I was walking around in Greenwich Village the other day, and you'll never guess who I ran into. John Lennon and Yoko Ono. They were blissfully walking down MacDougal St. and they were very warm and friendly. Unfortunately, Yoko got a little upset when I asked about what The Beatles were up to but John happened to have a promotional copy of the next Beatles album on his person and gave it to me for free. It's called Get Back, and I think it's gonna be a hit. This is what The Beatles are going to sound like in the 1970s. Buy it when it gets officially released. You won't be sorry.
Anybody remember those four musicians that showed up last August at that music festival in upstate New York? You know, the two guys from Buffalo Springfield, that British guy from The Hollies, and the one guy who used to be in The Byrds. The ones who claimed that this was their second gig ever. 3/4 of them just released an album on Atlantic Records. It's not a bad album, but a little too mellow for me at times. It's still got that guy from The Byrds. the one guy from The Hollies, and the blonde guy from Buffalo Springfield, but unless they get that fourth guy back, I don't see how they're gonna last.

Boy, you aren't kidding! Rock and roll used to be exciting and dangerous. What happened to music? I mean, what happened to The Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Steppenwolf, and bands like that? Now I hear crap like James Taylor, Carole King, and The Carpenters. I sure hope this style of music won't dominate the airwaves in the 1970s. I hope bands become adventurous again, and REAL Rock and Roll music makes a come back soon.
