Posted this in the other one, but no one wanted to talk about these jams with me.
Been listening to this stuff so far this November. Listened to Anco's discography and Strawberry Jam blew me away. The synth sounds made my brain feel really good. Also the drum sounds were amazing. also idk why i hadn't listen to This Heat or John Zorn before. both are really great albums. Also getting into Marsen Jules through that flowchart and this is my favorite so far.
The John Zorn album reminds me of a jazzier 70's era King Crimson. It definitely has a similar vibe to Lark's tongues. but i... might like it.. more! holy shit that feels weird saying :0 anyways if anyone else /zorn/ here wants to rec me another album by him pls do

Still me. just listened to pic related, literally just now. THAT FUCKING CLOSER! holy shit this was good. the guitar tone and layering of sound... the fact that it sounds like it was all recorded live.. the drumming. jesus, everyone in this thread pls listen. I don't even care if this isn't Bill related. I would put this on my Bill if i could go back, so i guess its kinda relevant. Someone circle-jerk this album with me. or tell me why you don't like it ;)

It's definitely different. I personally feel the opposite, though. As much as I love the first half of feels, when I listen to it, I feel like I'm waiting for the beauty that comes with the second half, enjoying every second of it along the way. The songs on the second half have a different feeling, but are even more beautiful and mesmerizing. Bees calms me down, puts me at ease, and then Banshee Beat comes on and inspires whatever emotions are in me to run freely. If there are tears in me, they will come. If there's laughter in me, it will come. The rest of the album following that is like a comedown from a religious experience. I feel like Feels resembles the stages of life in a way. With Did You See the Words? it starts out when you're around ten or eleven. The more ambient and abstract tranquility of the second half is like you're in old age now, but finding peace and bliss in it.
