>>60353845
not wanted to sound like an asshole bruh. sorry if I did. but there's so many ppl on here who just want to get spoonfed instead of looking for sth themselves first
>>60353828
ur a dang saint
>>60353845
gapless though?
>>60353828
I got the cd version and there was a strip with a link and code in the booklet
>>60353987
>cd version
>link and code in the booklet
really? sounds kinda redundant, figured warp would've just thought the cd owners would've just imported the album normally.
>>60354316
A lot of laptops don't even have cd drives anymore
my gardener deleted it
>>60353255
Haven't listened to it, has he gone back to making music similar to his older EPs like A Pact Between Strangers? Or is it more like the new stuff that I don't much care for?
Step back from rplus7, but still a good album.
OPN rankings:
1. Rplus7
2. Rifts (I know it's a comp)
3. Garden of Delete
4. Returnal
.............
115. Replica
Aoty desu
>>60354383
If you like Rifts you should get the individual EPs it's made up of since a bunch of great tracks from those EPs are missing from the compilation.
It's very nice, but not the best from him
Replica is still his best work imo
Can anyone confirm if the final version is slightly different from the version that leaked a few weeks ago?
>>60354402
I have them, not gonna include them because there are too many for a ranking
i have only listend to it once and didnt pay much attention i guess but i have to say that even when not paying much attention r+7 was much more captivating ... just like replica which has amazing moment which even when you are doing something else meanwhile get you to look up for a second. this one just kinda flew by. gotta say that when i listen to it more seriously i might change my opinion completely.

You're the man.
Did you also listenen to the leak? Is there anything different?
>>60354368
The latter.
And his old stuff is still derivative as fuck.
>>60354670
THANK YOU!!

Daniel seems like a nice guy
>>60353834
You can stream 90 seconds of it on Wasabeat. I had seen the YouTube video before, but I didn't think that it was real. I want to hear it again so badly.
>>60354719
apart from the gaps, can't spot any differences.
>>60354848
me neither. Those gaps were annoying, so that's at least a bit of improvement.
>>60354804
i wonder if he made that track with the japanese edition in my mind.
either that or there must be a bunch of amazing unreleased tracks and demos
>>60354913
You can stream 90 seconds of the track here:
https://www.wasabeat.com/releases/238072-oneohtrix-point-never-garden-of-delete-24bit
It's called 'the knuckleheads'
>>60354907
yeah. most noticeably between ezra and eccojams. and the gap between sdfk and mutant standard was just long enough to be an anticlimax.
>>60354932
>>60354804
>>60353834
>>60353798
Holy shit i want to listen to the full thing so much.
where did you buy the CD?
>>60355143
Me too. I'm feeling this track is going to be a much better closer of the album than no good
>ezra
>sticky drama
>mutant standard
Fucking GOAT
>>60355220
>forgetting to add lift
baka desu senpai
>>60355272
but lift is the least appealing track on the entire record
>>60355220
>not freaky eyes
>>60355321
lift is fantastic, the most gamey track in the album
>>60353255
replica for plebs
someone must have this Japanese edition track by now
please don't hold out on us
Not great. 6/10
>>60355220
these + freaky eyes
What does SDFK stand for?
>>60355508
Sticky Drama Fail Kontinuation.
>>60355532
oh.
>>60355532
That actually wouldn't be that bad if it ended up being true.
Well, maybe if it was "failed" kontinuation.
>>60355591
>arguing with Danny on his name choices
>not knowing 0neothix is Danny Low-Patina
u wot m8
>>60355611
Oh shit, didn't even notice the username.
I still don't believe that's him, though.
trash album
>>60353987
how do you have the cd? it was released today!
I like it. I guess what I can say about it is it captures mood well and draws in a lot of influences. You can really get that OPN has this ongoing theme of building soundscapes out of a carefully selected palate. I think he's able to capture his mind through his music wonderfully by building with few blocks. And the blocks you do get have meaning, referring to his upbringing, the technology he chooses, the influences he was around, etc.
someone please upload the bonus track I'm not snatching this whole album again
Not that into Replica. Second half of Rep mellows out to a boring simmer. R Plus Seven was interesting but not my cup of tea. Although with it he began to show signs that his songwriting was evolving. Garden of Delete, is his best.
>>60356706
I get it, cuz its "delete" lol
I think it's his best yet. I'll buy the CD soon.
>>60353260
Goddammit, I feel like I'm too stupid to even understand half of this review.
>>60357764
you're not too stupid. I do english and have a fetish for critical theory jargon but stuff like this is just comically overdone. Reviews like this are just cleverly connecting concepts from lit and art theory but they don't really end up saying anything, imo.
>>60357980
they could have summed up that review with "this is a nihilist record that has no inherent meaning. OPN wants us to ascribe meaning to pull a fast one on us, but we won't, cause we're smart."
>>60353828
I got one with the gate fold.
I got the yellow sticker but i didnt get the silver one, who got both?
>>60354475
This
Although it isn't a good way to determine whether an album is good, not paying attention and seeing if it will grab your attention is an ok way to see if you like it if you cba. Give it another go if you have the time tho.
its not ambient so its shit
>>60354383
>oh no my favourite meme artist has gotten mildly popular, better pretend his most popular album is shit so i still look cool
its pretty dope imo however i kind awished there'd bene more bangers like i bite thru it
>>60353255
Probably my AOTY. I really hope they release the Japanese bonus track as a single like they did with Syro.
>>60357764
don't worry, he's moving his mouth but not really saying anything
>>60353255
Top 10 for the year.
Dan will never top Replica
>>60359839
thanks
don't know why this wasn't included, pretty tight
>>60353255
>I want the kid that works at the mall to like this record.

>>60360780
thank you!!!!! <33
i feel so dizzy
>>60355532
daniel is that you??
>>60360780
Even though it feels a little like a carryover from R+7, this is an awesome track.
id like to see a well written review on this bloop bleep album please. how to express your thoughts and analyze these kind of music? What nuances and details do you pay attention too?
im inexperienced with this
>>60356794
Preordered through bleep, came yesterday
>>60353255
My second favorite album this year. My number one is Clarence Clarity, but this is such a great album that I want the LP of it.
And it is my favorite of Daniel's work. Sure EccoJams and Replica are classics, but they kinda get repetitive.
Though this one just kept me guessing over and over.
>>60359984
Replica is probably his most atmospheric work. It got me into Tim Hecker and Ben Frost if anything.
>>60355220
>sticky drama
>mutant standard
>anywhere as good as ezra
wew
>tfw death grips inadvertently helped to shape this album by dropping off the NIN/SG tour
>listened to the leak for the longest time
>now reading the lyrics for the tracks
Like rediscovering the album.
Lift was just a cool track, but with coherent lyrics is now fucking beautiful
>>60364845
I remember being really pissed off about that because I wanted to see them live, but now I'm glad it happened.
>>60354408
holy fuck, crazyaga, you're still around? first time I've seen you in years
t the start I felt like Ezra was a bit all over the place, but as i progressed through the tracks I got the sense that it simply laid out the instrumentation for the album.
I would've loved to hear a few more minutes of SDFK.
Aside from all the other solid tracks, I like Child of Rage
>because I hurt him so much
Lift is really good.
