ITT: Post the metal album that got you into metal, then explain to each other why said albums are objectively garbage.

This album is angsty highschool fuckboi status.
For Aeons Past- Solution .45
>getting into metal
seventh son is better desu sempai
>Edgy metal for middle school children to hate their parents to.
Which is exactly why it appealed to me.
RE
im going to get shit for this but
i was a shitty kid who thought that a band was better if no one else heard of them and that math rock was my favorite thing ever
an older friend i played TF2 with told me to grow up and broaden my horizons. if anything, this album taught me to give other shit a chance and it did help me grow up ironically.
parental advisory for sure
Still not that big on metal, but looking back I realize how big of a cheese factory this was. I'll occasionally put a song or two on.
>pic related
but then I heard Sunbather a few years later, and now I'm into death/black/doom metal and death industrial/noise. Sunbather is a GREAT intro to extreme metal. The vocals are what turns most people away, but sunbather is undeniably a pretty sounding album with beautifully used harsh vocals.

fuck, I'm relistening to some mastodon, and it's nowhere near as heavy as I once thought it was. Atleast Brann's pteradactyl vox are still 100
I already knew stuff like Korn but this was the one that set me on my path

add an s there and I'll agree
Literally the Sunbather of 2007-2008 /mu/, though I never listened to it until about 2 years ago.
At least that meant I was never around for the gorespammer.

The first time I head the song Overlord I wanted to go out and just eat something alive. Never in my life had music ever brought out this much emotion in me.
