xenakis's stuff, especially his chamber music, and especially especially his cello stuff, is basically the style okkyung lee adopted and spun and improvised with
ha yang kim is similar in that she's an experimental cello player from Korea although she's a bit more restrained and less explosive, more electronics and experiments than noisy improv, still cool
and byungki hwang is a traditional music artist from Korea, he plays a kind of music called sanjo on the kayageum, a kind of zither
cool stuff that was a big influence on okkyung
try his album "the labyrinth" first, which is basically his attempt at marrying classic sanjo and contemporary experimental music
