thats all i have because I'm poor

Need to split this signal chain into two, get that thick marshall distortion on one side and a nice clear AC30 sound on the other
>shoegaze so expensive bruw
Though whenever I record I just use a Zoom G2.1u, that shit sounds great if you know what you're doing and know how to mix/master properly.
fulltone ocd is what I've been using lately
Some shitty tuner for 30 euros
Digitech Whammy V
Maxon Vintage ROD-880
EHX Micro-Synth
MXR Carbon Copy
TC Electronic Hall Of Fame Mini
MXR Power Supply to power it all
Guys, be aware that the Micro-Synth has an severe internal noise gate, that is never referenced in any reviews or demos. It is such a boner kill
>>60334165
also a Thon Medium Pedal Case. The word "Medium" gives no hints onto how big and heavy the thing actually is
I had a really awsome fuzz petal for bass... I think it was called π or sonething. Someone actually stole it from me
>>60334165
>tfw some shitty tuner for 30 euros
I urge everyone in this thread to just get a Polytune or Boss TU-2.
Swapped the deep blue for an el capistan
very new to pedals, but thinking of getting pic related.
thoughts?
>>60334293
If you're very new to pedals, you shouldn't spend 275€ on one desu
strymon big sky
I'm a grill btw
>>60334315
fair point, but wanted something granular and with this level variety.
rec something similar and cheaper?
Only one I use
>>60334457
If you're really set on getting a granular based effects pedal, it won't get much cheaper, though that's still pretty hefty for the limited amount of things you can do with it. I'd recommend getting a whammy and a DD-7 instead (for example), you'll be able to do the same things, but be much more flexible in terms of extending the pedal board later on and adding in more effects (and if you're into that kind of advanced tomfoolery, you'll likely want to expand soon enough).

Why isn't knobs there and in the God tier
>>60334947
Oh shit son I remember seeing this channel a while ago when it had 3-4 videos, completely forgot about it. Checked it out again just now, fuck yeah it's god tier.
>>60334921
do you hate andertons because of Rob Grrrrrrrrrrretings or because of how the channel is run? I really like Proguitarshop and gearmandude.
>>60331925
how do you guys travel with your pedalboards?
i'm going on a trip and i need to take it, but it's just a plank of wood with some velcro atm
My phone camera is broken, but here's what I have right now. Been thinking about getting another fuzz to put after the descent so I can get that wall of noise shoegaze tone.
>>60334955
How's that Pharoah, man? Been looking at some black arts toneworks stuff and all of their designs are awesome.
>>60334250
i don't get the flint.
it seems just impractical! i heard it's supposed to emulate the conditions of early guitarists who could only use the trem and reverb their amps offered but it's just too pricey to be practical compared with standalone reverb or tremolo pedals.
>>60335950
how is that reverb? is it excessive? because thats exactly what im looking for.
>>60336024
>how is that reverb? is it excessive? because thats exactly what im looking for.
It's a TC Electronic T2, It has a really long decay time, when I started out with it I was trying to make shoegazy stuff but then realized that the decay was so long that I could use it to go into ambient guitar stuff.
what i hate about most pedal demo videos is that no matter what the pedal is supposed to be for, it's just some guy shredding blues riffs on it. like i saw a video of a guy showing off a pedal called "shoegazer" and he was playing fucking blues riffs on it.
>>60334250
Is that Strymon Flint any good/worth the price? I heard Guthrie Govan say it was his favorite pedal ever but the thing is so fucking expensive.

What are some good reverb pedals?
>>60336686
thinking of getting a hardwire rv-7 if i have any money left by new year's
verbzillas were pretty nice, out of production now.
>>60336753
>thinking of getting a hardwire rv-7 if i have any money left by new year's
Those are good enough. I used one for a while. I think it's the cheapest pedal with a reverse mode.
>>60333905
Go to bed jim
>>60336773
>>60336753
Is the Holy Grail Nano by EHX any good?
>>60336803
I don't have one of those.
>>60336773
yeah, that feature caught my eye but i'm not sure that i'll end up using it.
otherwise it's still a very solid and versatile reverb for the price, and hardwires are built like a rock so i don't mind going used
>>60336803
just google a demo (make sure it's properly recorded)
imo they're good but they have very few settings
how much is your budget?
>>60331925
I bought an Aquapuss bout 5 years ago and still love it. But only recently did I learn about the Supa-puss... and now I sad.
>>60336803
I have one. The sound is fantastic, very rich. But the lack of control over the reverb is borderline infuriating. If you just want a little splash of reverb (say your amp doesn't have a good reverb built in) then it's perfect, but if you want to create lush atmospheric reverbs, look elsewhere (Strymon Bluesky is my jam)
Does anyone have any recs for a good compression pedal?
My friend has a boss compressor/sustainer that sounds excellent, but its pretty pricey
Gonna buy this on payday tomorrow. Probably best sounding filter for it's price
Interested in the Gonkulator reissue too, these pedals are slept on imo
>>60335804
It's one of my favorite possessions.
>>60335804
Goes from smooth overdrive to wall of fuzzstortion. I should mention it's not a straight fuzz, it's got some grind.
I just use a DD-7 > that boss orange distortion that literally everyone has > Big Muff Fuzz + Tone Wicker
Also why are pedals shoegazing's best friend? I ain't complaining tho
>>60338076
are you new?
"shoe gaze" = "looking at your feet" = "engaging stomp box pedals for effects"
>>60338190
now I feel stupid....sorry, I just got into shoegaze.
fun on both bass and guitar. Can jump up to 3 octaves up and down.
So, I'm new to music production and everything, but my friend owns a guitar and we've been experimenting with that.
What are the best pedals/pedal effect types for making a psychedelic effect with a guitar? I know reverb is a must, but is there anything else?
Bump. I don't play guitar but I love looking at pictures of gear desu senpai
how do i get a raw lofi feedback effect like White Light/White Heat?
>>60336803
They're pretty good IMO, I mostly use the Hall setting, but the other 2 offer unique sounds as well
I agree with >>60337220 on the control factor, but I use mine through a synth so It's a bit of a different situation
Anyone have experience in psychedelic/dreamy sounding pedals? I already have a reverb and phaser pedal, but more pedals never hurt anyone
>>60341166
rainbow machine
>>60334921
that pedal show is 7.5/10
>>60336169
>he dosnt play bluegaze
Just pi ked up a cathedral, but cant seem to figure out how to get that mbv reverse mode sound. Anyone got anyideas/presets?
This just happened
>another reason to not buy a behringer
>>60339484
Modulation pedals. Phasers and flanger especially.
>>60338237
Debating getting either this or a POG. How do the octaves sound?
>>60342514
I'm >>60335804 , so I have the Descent which has a reverse setting, and I have to say that reverb is not that important in the Kevin Shields sound. What I usually do is set up a delay with a short time that goes into a hall reverb or a reverse that blends your strums together to give you that continuous wall of sound thing, and then put that into a big muff and you'll have something. If your guitar has a trem then use it
I use
Boss dm 2
Malekko b:assmaster
Crowther hotcake
Boss hf 2 flanger
Four pedals already seems a bit crazy. I don't know how people can effectively use more.
>>60331925
Boss OC-2 Octave is the shit
DD-3 delay is pretty much the only other thing I use desu. Want to get a good wah pedal tho.
>>60342665
so is that big muff after the verb?
>>60335868
>>60336210
Yes its well worth it. Basically you cant get a reverb or trem as good for $150 so the $300 is justified. I got it for my vox because it doesnt have any effects and coming from a fender I was used to having them on hand. Both effects are very versatile too; the trem can basically sound like a vibe and the reverb can go from great spring to crazy oscillating 80s shit. Overall if I lost my pedalboard itd be the first thing I buy
Earthquaker Devices Hoof
>>60343048
Yeah fuzzes after verb is a thing a lot of shoegaze people do.
Bumping with Tame Impala guys board
>>60342194
what, like The War on Drugs?
>>60334293
do it. awesome pedal and make sure to get an expression pedal to make it even more versatile.
>>60337263
If you think $100 is pricey, then that's a bad sign cuz that's reasonable for a decent effect
>>60333901
+octave multiplexer
I run a morpheus capo set to an octave up into the OM with the sub off and the high and blend all the way. It's a fucking amazing monophonic, grinding, glitchy tone
