I'm going to be taking LSD for the first time with a friend and we want to go see a concert while we do it
We don't have a lot of good bands come to our city but I'm wondering what good genre show we should pick
We're trying to see if we can find a doom or black metal show but anything is good

Look up the band Wand. That is what you should shoot for if you want to go to a concert on acid. I think you'll be ok, but take the tab awhile before hand then see how you're doing and if you think it's doable go to the show

lsd is different than shrooms, any underlying mental stress is magnified tenfold, anything that is bothering you in the back of your mind comes to the forfront until you deal with it.

I myself have chaotic trips everytime no matter what. I like black metal and doom, but never would I go to a concert other than electric wizard say...on maybe half a tab...

My first acid high was spent watching Interstellar in one of the most crowded shopping malls in the city and I was fine (except for a few suspicious looks from the security guys). If you're the slightest bit anxious all your worries will loop in your mind for the rest of the trip and ruin everything. Stay calm and take half a tab if you want to be extra safe.

If you take 200ug acid you will be FLOORED. Acid is very intense, way more in your face than shooms, and not even something I particularly enjoy at concerts even with a fuckload of experience. Trust me, when you're on that much acid at a concert you'll fucking wish you were back at home sitting around. You have no idea what you're doing or getting into, plus, being at home with a bunch of accommodations (including the ability to go outside and walk around or have a smoke) is one of the best settings to trip in.

I have reviewed the thread OP, included my personal advice, and thus you should take away;
Whether or not you are experienced from shrooms, you need to be cognizant and wary of the volatility of LSD; especially in your first time taking it. More over, it is advised, for these reasons, that you should not experiment with LSD for your first time at any concert, regardless of genre. Explanation: The sensory overload is so intense that 'controlling' your thoughts/emotions/etc. is not something you can just do. It being your first time taking lsd, that sensory overload will be at least 2x as strong. Further, due to all that is stated above, standing alone, one of the two of you probably has a 2/3 chance of having a bad trip, standing together is a guarantee at least one of you will.
^^All that being said; This is just general advice and is no way definitive. Their is a just as good a chance that one, if not both, of you will have the best trip of your life that can be life altering. I hope this is the case if you follow through.

I've also taken acid around 15 times in various dosages. I think you'd be fine if you took a much smaller dosage to begin with, don't jump in the deep end. You probably already know that it's mainly about having a positive mindset. Your environment is key to that. Try it with a close friend or two in a space you all know, you'll have a great time.

I was tripping with some friends in my dorm and after three hours (which felt like a lifetime) they asked me what music I was listening to. Until that moment I didn't even realize my headphones weren't playing anything because there was so many sights and sounds I was focusing on in the room.
Trust me, when you're tripping hard in public reality really weighs on you. What's going on in your head is way more important than what music is playing. You'll wish you were laying in your bed with your mind in an abstract plain

Things that are normal will be trippy and weird and fun on acid. Things that are trippy and weird will be too much stimulation / not fun on acid.

I meant both LSD and shrooms though. When I had my first acid trip I was listening to some pretty grim minimal techno, some of AFX's more aggresive stuff etc but was mostly in ave from the beauty of the music.
Other than that the trip was pretty horrible though because some repressed bad memories came up, but I didn't get scared by music though.
Listening to music on acid and shrooms is a vastly different experience though. Shrooms makes listen to music you normally love and know feel fucking divine and on acid i actually like exploring new music than listening to old stuff I already know.

There's guides to doing acid and everything you're planning goes against that advice:
1. Your setting is bad, if not awful.
2. Your dosage is potentially too high
3. You're tripping first time
Now, you're not guaranteed to have a bad trip but the chance you'll have a bad trip is very fucking high my friend.

You should go to a rave. I would say Progressive- (Psy-/Goa-) trance is your best option. It is very good because the music clears your head and you will feel euphoric and be able to dance all night. Dont do it at a regular 2h concert, the effect might last significantly longer and trust me you dont want to worry about transportation, how to get home while tripping. Also at raves everybody is high you will not feel alienated like at a concert where most people just drink beer. I did acid this way the first time, had a great experience.
