Electro swing
Fuck you guys, Streetlight Manifesto is great.
>>60304704
3 Doors Down is damn good. They have a pretty wide variety in their catalog compared to most in the genre.
>>60305084
Listen to mainstream rock radio fro an hour.
Theory of a Deadman, some Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, 3 Doors Down (as mentioned above).... basically anything that bridges the gaps between buttrock and nu-metal. Some f the bands in the genre cross over into one of the other category.
>>60304618
There are many infamous ska bands but, "Ska paradise orchestra, Cat empire, Streetlight Manifesto, Madness, No Replay". I'm agree with indie, and I would add punk and reggaeton.
>>60305790
You forgot The Pietasters. They're pretty good.
I will say country pop
>>60304659
>I-I posted it again!
>>60305287
Kryptonite is my jam
pop
ska
edm

ska is hardly music. I remember when it was a fad to like it. I'd never heard of it and suddenly everyone liked it in 2005
>>60305847
I forgot many haha, I'm just giving examples. By the way I didn't know The Pietasters thanks for the discover!
>ska
Arrogant Sons of Bitches kick ass, faggots
What is /mu/'s opinion on Reel Big Fish? I think it's fun even though not objectively "good"
ska/hardcore/punk like >>60306743 or volbeat
>>60306743
Turn the Radio Off is objectively good, very tight musically
Indie Folk
>>60306743
>objectively good being some way to describe any type of music or artist
I hate you guys so much
>>60305790
>punk
Yeah and I say this as a fan of punk
Hip Hop.
>>60307001
Oh geez, thanks for contributing to this discussion with your enlightening opinion, that post was totally useful and nurturing.
Thanks, please keep posting on /mu/ and we might get back to the golden days
>ska
>bad
I feel unloved.
>>60307134
If you weren't so stubborn and pretentious it would be an enlightening opinion. There is no such thing as "objectively good" with music. There is different music that people listen to for different reasons.
>>60307134
He's right though, there is no objective good, including in music
reggae and ska
I also grew up around some people that were really into all kinds of trance music so I learned to despise that stuff too, and I guess by extension most everything EDM.
southern hip hop
>>60304618
> Ska
Implying you don't adore The Specials and Madness and the racist skinheads that non-ironically listened to black music before going and spraying Keep Britain White on walls
>>60305184
This guy knows
>>60307215
>There is no such thing as "objectively good" with music.
that's an awfully objective statement you have there
>>60305152
The Real Tuesday Weld is really good actually
ambient
I don't think I've ever heard a single ambient album that were ever sonically interesting or memorable.
>>60307767
Define objectively good music.
>>60307828
>>60307855
Good for children of awful christian people. It;s entirely subjective. Objectively good adult music is not something you can define.
>>60307828
I IV V progression in the key of C in 4/4 time. Objectively the most satisfying progression in the most satisfying key due to the fact that the IV and V are each 8 semitones seperated from the I chord. the key of c is the most common and satisfying due to lack of sharps and flats. 4/4 time is the easiest time signature to divide and keep track of the accents on certain beats.
that's objectively good music.
>>60307980
A lot of people get bored of that and like more complex stuff.
Vaporware
K-pop
Country
>>60304618
easily pop/bro country. No album under this genre has ever been good, and i don't even think there has been 1 good song. Its complete fucking nonsense, completely watered down, a pure formula repeating the same themes with instrumentals that sound like they were made in garage band. Some of the worst artists include Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Rascall Flats
