do you guys own an mp3 player? if so which one or which would you recommend? i always find myself running out of space on my phone due to music and having to alternate files, does anyone have another solution?

If you still have it and it's the latest model I would call Apple support and get it replaced. They'll do it for $129 out of warranty, they might even cut you a deal like they did for me because they're trying to get rid of their remaining stock. I got mine replaced for $59.
As long as you can provide the serial number and they might ask you for an Apple ID, you should be good.
First download everything in a lossless format then convert it to ogg and the biggest microsd card you can use.

Considering getting a 128gb iPhone 6S+ but the cost is through the roof. I don't know if I could justify that. I just know that I want at least 128GB of space. Preferably if I had it my own way though I'd have at least 256GB.

You can choose the kind of sort, by folders or tags. It has a great search function similar to the Ipods but if you have a long list of artists it takes a long time to move through.
