Boring

I listened to some Al Green and Ween.
>>

>>
>>60291552

morning, anon. do you have any plans for the day?

>>60291565

i read that incorrectly and honestly thought you listened to weird al. that's okay, though.

do you have a song recommendation for ween?

>>60291571

i'm sorry sylt, i don't fuck boys anymore.
>>
>>60291585

my recommendation for ween is to avoid everything except chocolate and cheese

i started this song and it was very pleasant, but it's not the kind of music i can tolerate at this time of night. i'm nearly exclusively listening to the hidden track on harmlessness by the world is a beautiful place.

thank you, though. i appreciate it greatly. :)
>>
>>60291585
I'm getting my hair cut and probably buy some albums, heading to the store in 15 minutes
>>

>worked 9 hours
>listening to shitty work music
>listening to shitty radio
>"Brisbane's widest variety of music"
>same Robbie Williams song I've heard on that radio about 100x
Nope.
>>
>>60291640

haircuts can give some people anxiety, and i hope this isn't the case for you. i bet you'll look extra handsome and/or cute this time, anon.

>>60291648
why is your radio shitty, anon? tell me more about your options for radio.
>>
>>60291666
Well I didn't pick the radio. I was out the back doing stock work and it as stuck on the basic shitty family radio station. They claim they have variety but i don't think their playlist has changed in the past ten years.

The playlist that they have on throughout the day is abysmal at best. Songs like "Worth it" play about 10x throughout the day amongst other songs.

I know I'm there to work, but the music has to be at least half enjoyable.
>>
>>60291666
I don't really gaf about haircuts. It's just the 30 minutes where I'm supposed to talk to the barber what I'm usually scared of

but thanks for the whishes <3

is there any hope in negotiating? i agree that it's a minor point, but an important one nonetheless. you deserve better.

where do you work, anon, if it's okay to ask?

>>60291696

i've dealt with pretty terrible social anxiety and i feel your pain, anon. more recently i've had friends cut my hair and it's alleviated a bit of that.

you'll be okay. you have your albums to look forward to.
>>
>>60291541
Thanks for asking friendo. Rough day at work (I'm stuck with my ex at the same job) but listened to Stars Of The Lid after work and got some wicked chills from music for the first in forever.

How was your day op?
>>
>>60291722
Just retail. Nothing too exciting. No there is no hope in negotiating. The music is dictated by managers up higher than my own store managers. It just sits on a loop all day long.

I find it ironic that top 40 music as seen as friendly and acceptable even though something mildly alternative and slightly more deserving would be better. It makes my ears want to bleed having to hear that same music throughout the day. Yet I find myself singing along to it because I've heard it so often.

who /achtung baby/ here?

I worked all morning and then fell asleep to Brian Eno's Thursday Afternoon.

Now I'm watching/listening to the 1980 Wall Tour
>>
made a death grips playlist again, heavy on the GP tracks this time around
>>60291565
bad taxidermy looks the way that i feel i will be remembered
>>
>>60291736

not to dwell on the unfortunate bit of your day, but i'm guessing it wasn't a happy separation, then? my apologies that you have to deal with that, but i'm very glad you had something in your day to make up for any discomfort. physical and emotional reactions to music are what lights this fire inside me to bring me to even visit this board anymore.

could you link the song that hit you hardest?

my day was pleasant. i'm struggling with some things, but the good things push that away for now. i've made a new friend who i'm getting quite close to, which is remarkable for me. i get a little clingy and overbearing, but they're embracing the attention and there is definitely chemistry.

thank you for asking. <:

>>60291739

ick. i'm aware of some retail stores that are hip and trendy enough to eschew what you describe, but not yours, sadly.

you'll find a way to adapt. this is only temporary, as minor an annoyance as it is.

>>60291753

i've honestly never listened. what about it draws your attention so? should i download it?

>>60291765

what time is it where you are, anon?

i've taken a liking to music for airports 1, but that's pretty entry level. it helped me get through some all-nighters last term. i also like the big ship off another green world but i have yet to delve into the album past that.

you have splendid tastes.

>>60291783

could you perhaps screencap when you're finished? i'd like to replicate it with the albums in my library. i bet you have an eye for playlists, you just sound like it.
>>
good to have a nice thread like this once in a while
>>
>>60291819
it's my favorite u2 album. I'm a big u2 fan so maybe it's not that good :-/

but it was a total change in their sound, appearence and lyric message

as long as there are people like you in this place, i'll make more threads like these.

i used to do it every sunday night back in 2012, but then i just... stopped.

maybe i'll start again.

>>60291862

hey now, no self deprecation. you seem to think there's something wrong with being a big *anything* fan.

thank you for educating me on it. i really appreciate the gesture.
>>

I didn't mean there's something wrong with being an u2 fan, I meant that maybe it's a good album for u2 fans

I bought it for a dollar a garage sale. It's pretty great. Coincidently it was produced by Eno.

thank you kindly, anon. they're the prettiest creatures to ever grace the earth, in my opinion.

>>60291948

they're a person i get to KISS, too! maybe it's not a typical friendship, but it makes me happy.

i'm listening to your song right now. taphead... wasn't that a talk talk song? or is 'taphead' just a common word i don't know of yet.
>>
>>60291949
im more a fan of their.. spacious songs. birds is my choice cut. hacker i think would make for a good first track but it would map out the playlist entirely differently, maybe ill do a disc 2.
>>
>>60291969
Eyyyy that's the best kind of buddypal.

It was actually a Talk Talk song aswell, Stars are hugely inspired by them.
>>
>>60291541
Ehhh Did some small jobs for my old boss just to get some money.
Getting sick of it tho, only thing keeping me from going crazy is listening to Bomb the music industry or Van canto

Also terrified I am literally starting to lose my mind, just dont really have the money to see a real therapist, so my brothers friend who is studying offered to help me out which is good.

I had a great day, went out for breakfast with friends, sold an old guitar for some cash, listened to a couple of albums by Andy Stott and went on a date with a girl.

Any recs for similar producers to Andy Stott?
