I bought all my equipment used, never spent more than 20 dollars on a turntable (i've moved a couple times) 60 on my speakers, 20 on an amp, and I got a new needle recently for 50 dollars. I bought 90% of my records used, mostly at thrift stores

If I want an album I will research what the best medium is and buy that. Most albums pre-80s are best on record.
