These bands are not over rated. They simply became popular because they were part of a revolution, a new kind of music, that peoplehad never heard before. What Led Zeppelin did by turning up the volume on Blues tracks, and what Pink Floyd did on it's calm and relaxing otherworldly-like music is what gave rise to Heavy Metal and Psychedelic Rock music. They popularized it, and it's because of them you can listen to the Death Metal and stuff today. New stuff intrigued people. That is why they became popular. So, not overrated.
Except for Nirvana and Radiohead. Fuck those two boring ass bands.
If you want some bands that were actually overrated instead of many people liking them except me, then these would be the most overrated (using RYM's top charts as a reference)
