"The time of the third eye has come. „Ufonaut”, the second Entropia album and the successor of widely acclaimed „Vesper” will be released by Arachnophobia Records in February 2016.
„Ufonaut” is the result of a three years' long experimentation and delves within a psychedelic vision of the world lacking peace and divine order. The seven tracks included on the album are proving that the band released itself from any boundaries of convenience and safety of well-known measures, which in return allowed them to create the album filled with madness, anger and disdain for reality that is full of trivial illusions. In terms of music, „Ufonaut” is filled with hypnotic riffs based on the bands' trademark intricate harmonies and drum patterns. The caleidoscopic compositions, full of twists and turns are the legacy of numerous trips within consciousness and inner self.
Reassured that the future of mankind must be psychedelic or there may be none at all, Entropia stands out as zealots of Terrence McKenna's futuristic vision of the world, demanding the restitution of tribal consciousness and discarding the materialistic civilisation that surrounds us. Rising our heads towards the endless void, we await the incoming answer in silence.
Nothing further beyond.
The album recorded under supervision of Haldor Grunberg (Thaw, Belzebong) and Jakub Mańkowski (Behemoth, Blindead), complemented by the graphic design of Kuba Sokólski, will be released in the standard and limited jewel case CD edition and vinyl version. All remaining details will be announced soon.

In general the whole "WE'RE SERIOUS DARK OCCULTISTS LMAO" art gets a bit boring, although the real alchemical and/or hermetic art from the middle ages are some of my favourite paintings. I appreciate it, but it seems like a trend-thing, therefore the more you see it, the smaller the impact is. I like bands doing their own weird thing. Coincidentally, I really like the classic foggy-nature-scenery painting/drawing from the 90's, like Bergtatt or the original cover to Blut Aus Nord's Ultima Thulee.

This one's currently my fav
it really looks like a screenshot of some psychedelic sci-fi movie's title card, with the thing in the background moving in super slo-mo as the title appears across the screen.
I also like the fact that it looks genuinely alien and not quite identifiable, but still reminds you of many precise things that are directly in line with the album's sound. I find that extremely inspiring, like you don't know if it's supposed to be an abstract composition or a photorealistic rendition of something, and in either case what it's meant to represent or convey, but you immediately think of a cell, a sun, insects, aliens, a demon's effigy, a spaceship, a virus, and you try to make sense of it and combine it with the lyrics (that are equally abstract but sprinkled with very concrete and evocative imagery) but it doesn't quite result in a cohesive narrative, and yet you get the impression that it's part of a story but that you have to go deeper into it to get the full experience, because it looks cool, it sounds cool, and you want more of it.

I'm with this guy, first band I thought of was also Infernal War, also Antaeus I suppose fits the bill. Mörk Gryning's Maelstrom Chaos also sounds more "evil," a bit less aggressive though I guess.
