are there any artists who put out their best or some of their best work after their 10th album?

Station to Station was his 10th album, so Low, "Heroes" and Scary Monsters all count
Their 10th, not sure it it counts
His 12th.
Their 10th album
Plenty of them:
>Sonic Youth (Goodbye 20th Century)
>Tom Waits (Rain Dogs)
>Bob Dylan (Blood on the Tracks)
>Miles Davis (Jack Johnson)
>Lou Reed (New York)
>The Rolling Stones (Exile on Main St.)
>Johnny Cash (At San Quentin)
>Einstürzende Neubauten - Lament
>Sun Ra (Strange Strings)
>Scott Walker (Bish Bosch)
>Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band (Doc at the Radar Station)
>Serge Gainsbourg (Histoire de Melody Nelson)
I guess maybe it would have better to ask for slightly more contemporary artists (like 90s and up)?

you say plenty but I think its still a pretty rare thing, pretty mch every example in this thread is an extremely prolific and respected artist that set the bar that similar artists are held up to

Plus most of the artists posted came from a time when albums came out and were released much more frequently - they wouldn't even need to be super far into their career to release their 10th album.

Well, see, it's also pretty common if you get into obscure underground artists because they pump out a lot of albums nobody listens to so their best is usually like their twentieth or something release, for example Current 93 or Coil or Boredoms
