Has being a musician/being in a band changed in any way how people perceive you/treat you? What good and bad things has it brought you?
It brings me nothing because no one cares. Everyone's a musician these days.

>how come your songs aren't on the radio anon?
>whens the world tour anon?
>anon how come your songs only get 10k views on youtube
>Anon How come your band hasn't played at my campus
>Hey anon do you make edm?
Being a musician is a meme now I don't even bother telling people
just like when people call themselves artist because they learned how to draw
It's good
I talk with people about music much more, and its helped me make new friends and also find out about some really cool venues and bands.
One annoying thing is that most friends will always praise everything you make and never give you any honest feedback or critique, even if they don't particularly the material or live performance
bumpity bump
Also, do you think people see you as more interesting now? Has it made anyone attracted to you?

**particularly like
Also expect to get some shit 'banter' from friends/family/others who aren't into music or the genre you play

Every musician I know who gets honest criticism acts shitty once they hear it, so your friends are probably just playing it safe.

>>Hey anon do you make edm?
One thing I've noticed is that if you're doing a solo project, and it's not EDM, people find it weird for some reason. Doing things alone is weird even if you're doing art.
another bump

I hate that shit hey. The good thing is the good friends who are honest know the band appreciates it. Other peoples perspectives are important, so long as they don't compromise your fundamental ideas and integrity.

some people seem more open to conversation, while others act strange
