I don't want to do it, I just have a very weird fascination with the mood that albums and songs like the ones in these albums creates.
I was actually very surprised to find that Downward Spiral was listened to very adamently by Dylan Klebold, because I got that vibe from Piggy, but definitely not in the WHOLE album. Shits very eeriee and weird.
Listening to KMFDM Symbols and thinking of how Eric fucking listened to the same songs I was listening to was also very strange. It's like trying to view the song through his perspective. It kind of puts you in his mental state.

I think it also has a lot to do with them being teenagers living in the suburbs and that no one suspected them doing that. They just reflected a lot on the life of normal americans. And that if it happened to them it could've happened to anyone.

Two teenagers, one of which was seventeen years old, worked together in an attempt to kill over 400 students in a mass bombing which rivaled that of the Oklahoma Bombings and Boston Bombings put together.
They hand made 99 explosive devices and stockpiled a shit ton of ammunition. All on their own.

Another thing is that they didn't fit the outcast loner shooter stereotype that most school shooters seem to fit. They had a group of friends and were well liked by people who had no idea what they were planning.
