Brotherhood of breath - Procession
http://www66.zippyshare.com/v/dk5qx83y/file.html
big band, free jazz, recorded in 1977. this south african exiles band lead by Chris McGregor delivers here a continuous performance cleverly navigating from joyful Mingus style big band with south african traditional themes to Sun Ra-like freer improvisations
Chris McGregor - In his good time
http://www46.zippyshare.com/v/PZwCKTHD/file.html
recorded in Paris in november 1977, this is a solo performance of the south african pianist Chris McGregor (who participated in bands like The blue notes and Brotherhood of breath). the first eight tracks are the first set and a continuous performance, kinda reminiscent of Jarrett's solo recordings, with a more percussive and adventurous sound. the other five tracks are extracts of the second set and follow the same path

Serge Chaloff - Blue Serge
http://www71.zippyshare.com/v/unhkbV4q/file.html
hard bop, 1956. Serge Chaloff may not be remembered as he should be as he died pretty young from drug induced spinal tumor (apprently he made this recording in a wheelchair), but is still one of the first important baritone sax players in jazz. on this seminal hard bop session, he delivers (with Leroy Vinnegar on bass, Philly Joe Jones on drums and Sonny Clark on piano) only one original composition but extremely enjoyable takes on popular songs and standards

is this his new proper debut album?
As promised.
Here's a bunch of Half Japanese in FLAC.
>Art Punk, Punk Rock, Indie/Alternative Rock, Lo-Fi, No Wave, Experimental, sometimes bluesy or doo wopey, Nerdy. Jad Fairs voice might be annoying to some.
I personally think that all of this is good stuff.

It's mostly FLAC unless otherwise noted.
If you don't know where to start. Download their greatest hit's from the archive. that's a really well put together compilation of 69 songs.
