Is it a key change? Because key changes usually work better going up if it's a happy song.

So I spoke to Kyle Field of Little Wings over email he made a video on how to play 'Where Lies My Tarp' by Mount Eerie/The Microphones because he's based as fuck. Anyway his chord progression was C, G, C, F, C, F, Dm, C. However, hes changed the chord progression down from its original key (A) down to E and it sounds ok but apparently it should be in A
