GDL fag here, the only record stores I've found here have generic The Doors/Iron Maiden/Pink Floyd/The Beatles music nerds that don't have the time to talk with a young pretentious fuck looking for new music. Last local band I listened to was a mix of reggae and ska that wasn't bad, but definitely not great. The Hindu Community band accross the street won me over with some really nice percussions and a piano-shaped accordion.

I tried looking up if there are any mexican pop stars and the only ones i can find are in their late 30;s or 40's, you would think that with the rising mexican american population you would be able to develop some sort of mexi pop genre and market it to both mexico and america.
