There can be no peaceful thread when the Beatles and the Beach Boys are mentioned in the same breath. I'm not sure why but people just always turn it into some crazy battle of the bands. I'm sure Zombies and Kinks fans just chill out and enjoy the shitshow.

There is a lot of truth in those words. I don't why the Beatles or Beach Boys deserve more recognition and praise than the Kinks or the Byrd's (especially the Byrd's considering Mr. Tambourine Man, Younger than Yesterday, and Notorious Byrd's beats most of either band's discography).
