This is the best Beatles album. It's a perfect pop album.

This is the best Beatles album.

It's a perfect pop album. Their "experimental" shit is shite, and if you like The Beatles for their pseudo-psych bullshit, you're doing it wrong.

0/10 its like you didnt even try m8
>>
CLT just come out again. Everybody misses you.
>>
>>54777671
Lmao you probably have shit taste in 60's music.

I'm making a compromise.

The Beatles later stuff is passe and try hard.

i was going to say it was at best as good as abbey road but not even that
i fucking love it though
>>
Musically, its easily Abbey Road.
>>
But I enjoy their later albums more.
>>
Their early work was a bit too... British Invasion for my taste. But when Revolver came out in '66, I think they really came into their own; commercially and artistically
>>
>>54777645
Abbey Road isn't experimental or pseudo-psych.
>>
Merriweather Post Pavilion kicks this, and every other Beatles album, down to hell. Get this shit out of my face, idiot. You know who likes early Beatles? People too stupid to listen real traditional pop music.

Wrong, it's still Magical Mystery Tour because it's their only album that's genuinely psychedelic.

Who didn't know that? It's the only no filler beatles album.

They have like 10 no-filler albums.

Not him, but Revolver, Abbey Road, MM, all have no filler. You argue Flying is a filler, or maybe the second half of Abbey Road but there's an argument for artistic that favors the beatles and i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for obvious reasons.
>>
>>54779497
artistic license*
>>
>>54779497
>You argue Flying is a filler
Not really, it was incidental music for a film. Not filler.
>or maybe the second half of Abbey Road
Not really, that was a calculated creation.
>there's an argument for artistic that favors the beatles and i'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for obvious reasons.
Or you just don't know what filler is.
>>
>>54777645
their final album is their only good album
>>
>>54779531
>>You argue Flying is a filler
>Not really, it was incidental music for a film. Not filler.
>>or maybe the second half of Abbey Road
>Not really, that was a calculated creation.
That's the exact argument I'm making against your idea of filler. you couldn't call those albums filler then. Give me examples of filler on those albums and on.. let's do with With The Beatles
>>
>>54779497
revolver - love you too
abbey road - octopuses garden

People who give too much credit to the Beatles and worship them are weird to me. This is coming from a guy who owns both a Hofner violin bass and a Rickenbacker 12 string (modeled after George Harrison's) I got it case of HDN.
>>
>>54779531
Filler is subjective to someone's standards. The Beatles had very high standards of what filler is, while most people would praise something like Hold Me Tight or Hey Bulldog. Your standard of filler is most likely lower than mine, so it's probably you are a little confused about what album filler means.
>>
>>54779588
>against your idea of filler.
What do you think "my idea" of filler is?
>>
>>54779640
>Filler is subjective
Incorrect
>>
Literally every Beatles track is filler for normie philistine scum.
>>
>>54779591
Just because you own Beatles memorabilia doesn't mean you know what you're talking about when it comes to the band's career or artistic intentions.
>>
>>54779641
I have my ideas but I'd like to be exact so why don't you
>Give me examples of filler on those albums and on.. let's do with With The Beatles
>>
>>54779591
>revolver - love you too
>abbey road - octopuses garden
How is that filler?
>>
>>54779674
It's not memorabilia. They are creative tools. You don't own paint brushes and pallet knives if you like paintings. You own paintings. These are tools of the trade you fool.
>>
>>54779694
You didn't answer my question. Try again.

>>

one's a cash in, the other is horrible.
>>
>>54779754
>one's a cash in
How is Love You too a cash in?

Also that's not what filler is, try again.
>>
>>54779714
>memorabilia
>objects kept or collected because of their historical interest, esp. those associated with memorable people or events
>guitar modeled after Harrison's guitar
If it wasn't your reason, I don't know why you'd own that shit because its objectively third-rate

>le creative artist in me owns tools
Your guitar is a gimmick and is shit.
>>
>>54779796
>a Rickenbacker is shit
lel
>>
>>54779750
>>54779444
>Oh you don't know what filler is I guess.

>doesn't give examples of filler tracks

le epic troll :^)

>>54779754
>a cash in
Neither of these were A-sides. This is a time when the market was still largely single-driven, so I'd have to disagree with you there.
>>
>>54779846
If you knew what filler meant, it would be obvious.
>>
>>54779796
Reason? Cause people make a living off playing those. Your petty attempt at trolling is immature at best. Rickenbacker guitars are top of the line guitars. Just cause you can't afford one doesn't mean they are bad by anyone's standard. Truely not to the recording industry, that time and time again uses them for big hits.
>>
>>54779813
>pretending I'm referring to all Rickenbacker guitars
>implying Harrison's Rickenbacker's not third rate
I literally have been constructing classical, acoustic, and electric guitars all my life. I know the ins and outs of the best made and sounding guitars.

Time to keep that trip code on, so we can filter you. You're not even a /mu/tant.
>>
>>54779892

Thanks for proving his point, Mr Beatles Man !

No you haven't. You're not fooling anyone.

Yikes. Must be embarrassing for you. Time to stop posting.
>>
>>54777645
>"experimental"
It's foolish to qualify it with quotation marks because they did engage in genuine studio experimentation.

Look, the songwriting makes the album, and Revolver/Sgt Pep have the best songwriting. Also the band very rarely just experimented for the sake of it; "Happiness is a Warm Gun" is a genuinely great song and "Revolution 9" is the exception rather than the rule.

My compromise: Magical Mystery tour onward is low-grade Beatles with the occasional brilliant song sprinkled in.
>>
>>54779934
what's your favorite band?
>>
>>54779939
When did they break up again?
>>
>>54779939
>implying Octopus's Garden was a filler
A single isn't filler, neither is a cash-in song.

Day Tripper is a "cash-in".

I Want To Hold Your Hand is, too.

So is All Day And Every Night, Burning Down The House, Sweet Child O' Mine, and Royals. They're as commercial as the other.

None are filler; thanks for agreeing.
>>
>>54779368
compare it to real psych and you will understand

If CLT is here, I just wanted to stress that you helped me a lot in life. Thanks so much, and I wish you still posted here. I honestly do. I love hearing your opinion on things even when our opinions clash.

Thanks man.
>>
>>54780023
How is one real and the other not?

PRO-TIP: If you can't explain it, it's probably not true.
>>
>>54779960
>implying that the (You) disappears with the trip
>implying everyone doesn't know that
Looks like your trip should stay back on :^)
