Japan pretty much perfected 80s pop-funk (although there is was called City Pop, or Shibuya-kei).

Finally found that song that was sampled for a vaporwave song. I have to say the Japanese certainly did mastered the sound of 80s American pop/funk during that time.
These songs making miss me hearing saxophones in mainstream songs. They were everywhere during the 80s.
