Went to a Death Grips show in Portland right before Flatty disappeared. After the show, I went out back to smoke and saw him. I went up and said 'hey Andy'. He didn't really look at me, but he just quietly said 'hey'. I asked him where Zach and Stefan were, but he kinda dodged the question. I told him the show was cool and he just smiled and laughed and thanked me for coming out, but he still wouldn't look at me, almost like he was scared of me or something.
All in all, he was a cool guy, just really awkward. He kinda stuttered a lot too.

I saw Hella (Zach's other band) live in 2006. Zach was playing so hard that he accidentally sliced his finger open on a cymbal and still finished the set. I heard with DG he once played so hard that he broke his hand during a show.

Ride is objectively the best rapper. His lyrics are extremely unique and inventive. All the metaphors make it sound surreal although there's a narrative in every song. His delivery is expressive, even disregarding the fact it's in a genre where monotonous talking is the standard. No, he doesn't always shout. There's whispering, talking, other voice effects, he actually recites repeated lyrics differently like on Voila or Come Up And Get Me. Some people think his flow is sloppy but his own rhythm on top of Zach's drums only makes it even more interesting.
