>>54477096
not sure why you would charge as much for an cd as you do for the digital album. it does have a very nice flow to it. however, it feels very slow, like someone dragged the album through a pot of honey. it really makes the tracks unmemorable in a lot of cases.
>>54477133
this really feels like it's trying way to hard to be edgy and abrasive when you really don't have anything edgy and abrasive to show. when you take away the artsy outer lining, this is just an asshole screaming at his computer over some synths.
>>54477157
the first thing i enjoyed was the fact that this wasn't cybergrind. on track 1, i dug the loop you were giving me at first, but fuck did it take a long ass time to pick up. after that, i started to realize more and more that this was just a big collage of vaporwave noises. this can work, but you really have to make it more varied. also props if you made the little snppets of actual music yourself. those parts were pretty banging.
>>54477206
>>54477334
hey soma. your friend's band is pretty nice. garage rock can get pretty stale pretty quickly, but i was pretty engaged the whole time. his vocls were better more raw like they were on track 1. also the drums sound like i'm gently slapping the insides of my thighs. pretty good over all.
>>54477224
damn that's some nice cover art. you don't sound very comfortable with your voice, which is a shame, because it has the potential to be very soothing. there is a weird charm to the harsh as fuck rap like lyrics being sung in a soothing r&b manner. the electroncis are okay. it fits at the tempo it's comfortable at, but i really feel like i've heard all of the beats before.
>>54477286
this is great. it feels very vast and, pardon my language, epic. all of the tracks compliment each other very well. the bits of drone and noise are outstanding, but they could probably be more spread out throughout the album. outstanding stuff man.
>>
>>54477457
Thank you, I think he might come later in the thread to post his own Bandcamp.
>>
>>54477299
the atmosphere and buildup are nice, but a lot of the other stuff really jolts out of the background in a kind of jaring way. like i'm pretty sure that the drums were some kind of drum machine, which is fine, but it sticks out like a sore thumb in the midst of all this nice dreamy guitar noodling.
>>54477396
this is suprisingly well orchestrated, especially for noise rock standards. wish the drums did more, but overall, this was raw as fuck without feeling like just a big wall of noise. i like it.
>>
>>54477457
>but you really have to make it more varied

Every single track is different m8.

>the first thing i enjoyed was the fact that this wasn't cybergrind

Wicked production, I like the lyrics, but your delivery is a little bit stiff. I don't know how else to say it, it feels like you're reading stuff from a piece of paper. Regardless this sounds pretty great, I like it!

Hey man! Cherry Cardinal Hotel wanted me to let you know he's been at work with the drums, only thing is that he's been super busy with medical and personal issues so he hasn't been able to get everything done.

Yeah, it's definitely something I need to work on. I tend to rush things sometimes, so I'm going to try and just keep re recording until it sounds perfect in my ears. Besides that though, I appreciate the listen.

I did check out your bandcamp though (I really like surf rock). I was actually pretty surprised, getting into it I was really scared you wouldn't be able to carry it but your voice is very well suited and its just pretty well done overall. Definitely keep at it.
>>
>>54477854
that's good to know. thank you :) I hope he's well. haven't heard from him in a bit.

thanks again for the kind words too.

she didn't do anything really. I just said some things too late to have meaning anymore.
>>
>>54477856
You have a pretty good voice to rap with, and seem to be a pretty good producer as well, but I feel like your production doesn't really compliment your voice really as much as it could. Then again, that's just my opinion. Other than that it's pretty good for a first project.
>>
>>54477877
Thank you dude, I'm always learning and working so I hope I'll be able to deliver something even better next time around
>>
>>54477934
>she didn't do anything really. I just said some things too late to have meaning anymore.

It's too early in the morning to feel like this, but I know what you mean... I've been having my own set of problems relating to a girl and what I should have said when... coming to think of it, your album does seem like the perfect soundtrack to remember all that stuff to.
>>
>>54477601
listening to coffee break right now. it's pretty cool. i see what you mean, but i feel like a lot of this could be condensed. from what i've heard, it takes a long ass time for each track to pick up. this would be better if it were a 30-25 minutes long record.
>>54477641
i'm not a hip hop guy, so bear with me, the vocals give the distinct mark of a man trying not to be heard in the other room. you never really allow yourself to really get in to what you are singing, so it comes off flat. nice beats though.
>>54477706
i'm just not one for the reverb heavy guitar stuff. don't give it much thought. you do have a very nice voice. also i have no problem with paying for music, but it seems weird that a CD with packaging and shipping would cost as much as a digital album.
>>54477680
this is fucking metal as fuck. it should come off as annoying and grating after a while, but it's so well executed that i do get lost in the beats. great stuff. up the volume a little more.
>>54477682
hi harvey. you're stuff is pretty nice. it's pretty bold and demands your attention. i sort of game my thoughts in my other post already. it's breddy gud.
>>54477734
this is much more beautiful then i expected it to be. this is really great. the drones feel all human and organic, like i'm being presented a concert by a thousand people. this isn't just some dude shoving his guitar next to his amp. it's wonderful. downloaded.
>>54477786
posted about your stuff last thread. i like tack 2 more. it's super direct about the indie rock chiptune fusion and it feels very comfortable in it's role. pretty good.
>>54477798
this is really nice too. it uses ambience and field recordings well without having them disrupt the flow of the lead synths. those drum bears are orgasmic. this is really good at mishmashing many electronic genres and making them work in harmony.
>>
>>54477990
once again, thank you for the kind words! It means a lot considering this is my first time recording any new music since November.
>>
>>54477990
Oh fuck you posted about my stuff last night? I thought you skipped me for some reason or another, I think I might still have the old thread on my phone. Thanks for givin me time of day this time around too!
>>
>>54477813
i like how this uses the downtempo and hip hop genres and gives them a more abstract and electronic edge. pretty good,
>>54477856
the samples you use seem to not suit your voice. it's either to funky and groovy or to cold and barren for your voice from track to track. you do seem like a decent producer though.
>>54478047
oh no i'm not the guy who did the drunk reviews. i'm the one who threw the big hissy fit and only posted like two reviews. one of them was for you.
>>
>>54477990

>seems weird that a CD with packaging and shipping would cost as much as a digital album

Mainly it's because I don't mind charging the ten dollar flat rate and taking a bit of a "loss" on the physical copy. Bandcamp does end up charging shipping though so the CD's are about $12-15 depending on where you are/what you order.
>>
>>54478057

love the use of sampling. really builds to the atmosphere and leads the record away from being just another long form post rock record. i also enjoy the folky undertones you gave of. really nice record overall.
>>54478483
nice cover art. the entire thing is pretty fun, but it feels kind of lacking of flow because of how pushed to the back the drums are. also what feeling were you trying to portray with this? it doesn't feel soulless, i just want to know the intention.
>>54478495
i like how well the tracks progress. this could have easily just been a big looping snoozefest. i like how you use the vocals more as jut a new instrument as opposed to the center piece of each song. it makes the whole thing feel more well rounded. would like it if there were some more heavy parts to contrast the more upbeat songs (all of them)

feels kind of empty. it feels too well produced to feel like you're just a dude pouring his soul out with a guitar, but too barren to really feel like a fully thought out indie rock album. i can tell you will get a lot better when you really find your footing.
>>54479569
the production is pretty uneven and bounces around between fidelities between layers. like you have these nice clean vocals backed by these really raw guitars and it just comes off really weird.
