This is the point where Muse peaked, everything else since then has been complete trash.

>>54469531
I think he's trying to say that the album you posted was their peak, and then the albums released post-Black Holes is utter trash

I'm pretty sure suggesting someone listen to The Resistance is classified as a breach of the Geneva Conventions.

Resistance is underrated but still not that great
Jesus Christ Psycho is terrible compared to Reapers

I'm not sure if this video's available where you are but there's a link in the description for a live version.
I saw them live on Monday and they were playing loads of old stuff, they sounded fucking brilliant. The song they played off their new album that wasn't Psycho was 10x better than it
Absolution>OOS>BHaR>Showbiz>2nd Law>Resistance
The Resistance era was their worst. I think during the 2nd Law tour they realised they wanted to be a full on rock band again which is why they started playing loads of old stuff on that tour, and why right now they have gone back to performing songs like muscle museum and assassin live
I think Drones will be better than the last two, but they will never reach the heights of OOS and Absolution again.
>>54475970
It's not underrated at all. The only even remotely memorable part of it is Exogenesis and even that isn't that special.
>>54476185
Oh god this is the one that goes "DRONES!" Definitely sounds better than psycho but I'm assuming the studio version will be way more clean and boring.
>>54469497
*Posts OOS as OP
I agree with you OP, OOS is where they peaked, with Absolution as their last good album.
Muse's problem has always been that their studio work has somehow never replicated the awesomeness of their live shows. They are two completely separate phenomenons. Matt has written many amazing singles though - Map of the Problematique and Stockholm Syndrome being especially obvious. Origin of Symmetry remains their best album.

/mu/ hating on muse is the most boring meme, still a great live act (yes, even when they're playing follow me and unsustainable).
2nd law is their worst album but it isn't the abomination it's made out to be, it has a few keepers. I hope nobody here is genuinely influenced into hating muse due to the pretentious hive-mind on this board.
I wouldn't rank BHAR anywhere near as highly as abso and OOS, it has the best opener and closer of any album, but everything inbetween is lacking in comparison to their two best albums.
>>54476473
yeah this, if you don't like the resistance or the 2nd law, I recommend the live at Rome one. even madness sounds cool

Only rational posts ITT

Saying I "hate Muse" implies that I don't still fucking love their first 3 albums. I absolutely still love those albums, but I regret buying The Resistance because it's terrible and I'm glad I didn't pay any money for 2nd Law because it is also terrible.
I can't listen to Muse without feeling sick. They're that bad.
