In my opinion. The Second Law was an attempt to capitalize on a prevalent trend, American dubstep. While I doubt that tasteful execution was ever a possibility once they set out on that path, I wasn't expecting something that bad. It was truly something awful. I'm not typically one to bash shit either. But my God. It was some of the worst music I heard that year. For sure. Oh, and I'm not huge on their first two album. But they're both pretty good. One thing I've got to give to them. They generally put on a great show. Their live performances are just so fun. I have a friend. Saw them play Glastonbury a number of years back. He isn't even a fan. But he said that he had the time of his life. Good shit. Anyway. Yeah. That's what I think.

I don't get how people reduce The Second Law to dubstep. It's literally one song that has dubstep in it, and even then it's instrumental, every sound is made with their instruments (and a shitton of effects).
