This is very true, but outside of Ruins her lyrics are almost completely irrelevant since they're not even intended to be audible, and her entire aesthetic is about creating a sense of distance and isolation, less like a human being and more like a half-remembered dream being or ethereal spirit with no real humanity
If your definition of self-centered is just someone who "speaks about her feelings / relationships / herself in every song" then no, of course she doesn't fit the bill, but her music is definitely far, far away from self-centered. She doesn't even only eschew her own personality in her music; she eschews humanity itself.
This is a pretty stupid thread premise, though. It doesn't ever matter what people are saying, it's how they say it that matters.
